Ta'Shay is from Dallas, Texas and a U.S. Army Veteran with 16 years of service. She continued her service by working as a licensed social worker helping Veterans. She also volunteers at a grief counseling center for children who lost a parent through death as a group facilitator. The age group she works with is 5-8 years old. She also works as a Behavioral Health Specialist PRN at a county hospital. Her vision is to help encourage others to be their best selves by enhancing their life's journey.
At the age of 9, Ta'Shay' father died. There was so much grief, it overwhelmed her. She was not the same. Over the years, she chose to keep her feelings inside (even though her mother encouraged her to express her feelings) and did not want to share with anyone which caused issues in her relationships. She never let the 9 year old girl inside speak and express herself. With the help of her "family" (relatives, friends, military), therapy, helping others, and writing this book, she is finally speaking.
Bella is an Old English Bulldog and is one of the characters in this book. Bella has been a part of my world since Bella was 4 months old and she is now 7 years old. Bella is loving, caring, and protective. She loves walks, travelling, and laying in the grass. She does not like getting wet, especially her paws. She has her own room and loves her "me time". She has her own Instagram page. You can follow her www.instagram.com/bellabulldoglife
